About City View

City View is a television channel for hotel guests, shown in 7,675 rooms at 34 hotels and resorts in the Phoenix area and in 5,431 rooms at 24 hotel and resort properties in Tucson. City View uses digital video players to deliver its signal, and guests watch City View on a dedicated channel on their in-room TV sets.

A playback system containing the City View program is connected to the central video wiring at each participating hotel, and the program is played continuously. The program itself consists of messages from area businesses presented in a directory format, making it easy for viewers unfamiliar with the area to discover places to visit.

Summary results of this audience research point out that hotel guests rate television the number 1 in-room amenity, and hotel guests were found to watch 3.6 hours of television per day.
